I am an artist living in Santa Cruz, CA.. I make Borosilicate Glass Beads for jewelry designers. Which I sell mainly on ebay under my user id: Spankyslampworkbeads. I am also a metalsmith and have my own line of jewelry which you will find here in the coming months. I paint in different mediums including digital, and sell my paintings here and also on Etsy www.spankinart.etsy.com. I also make beautiful one-of-a-kind leather journals. And recently I have developed my very own line of Beauty Products..

I have an associates degree in Fashion Design but only liked the drawing part which is one reason I never pursued that career. I have taken a few artistic classes over the years but I have found that my own techniques work best for me so I am mainly a self-taught artist. I have never been one to follow the rules. I've always felt the urge to go against the grain, main-stream and to think outside the box. I believe following your heart is the best way to live.

Some of my inspiration comes from my love of animals, especially cats (big and small)..and childhood memories. I love imagining hidden gardens with secret pathways full of creatures and critters and fluttering fairies...:)
Yet, more art comes from my soul..I love to paint and draw in different mediums which includes watercolors, inks, acrylics, oil and also digitally created pieces..I like to work with different textures..different grains of paper and on wood. A lot of my originals are covered with a thick layer of clear resin which gives it a beautiful gloss..so there's no need for framing.. My work can be light and airy to deep and vibrant.. I love color so you'll see lots of brilliant colors. I also love whimsy so you'll see fun, sweet, illustrations..

My prints are printed with a brand-new Professional Imaging printer ..The highest quality and best printer that Epson has to offer. The prints are Giclee'. The printer uses K3 Ultrachrome inks...# Eight-Color Pigment-Based Ink System:
